Wick - June 2023 – Community Confidence Survey Key Findings

Community Confidence Action Research – Wick Survey

As part of the Community Confidence Action Research Project, the Scottish Police Authority and Police Scotland designed a survey to gather views on community and policing in Wick. Hosted on the Scottish Police Authority’s Citizen Space, the survey contained 15 questions and ran from 11th April - 23rd May 2023. In total 139 responses were received.

Table 1 shows that the majority of respondents lived in the Wick area (77%, n=107).

The highest proportion of respondents were aged 35-44 (25% n=35) and the lowest aged 16-24 at 6% (n=8). The sample is also predominantly female (63%, n=88). The majority of respondents stated they had no contact with the police in the last 6 months (65% n=90).
