Implications
Detailed engagement with Legal Services is still ongoing and is expected to continue. This includes the review of Parts 2 and 3 of the Scottish Government Statutory Guidance. The Implementation Team will continue to engage with Legal Services and partners to identify any indication of litigation to ensure support can be provided within the organisation, as necessary.
The Implementation Team have successfully recruited 3 permanent members of police staff (2 x Grade 5, 1 x Grade 7) to support this work. It is anticipated that to achieve UNCRC compliance, these posts will require to remain permanent.
