Board Objectives for 2023/24
Since the end of March, I have undertaken end of year conversations with all Board members and leaders (Chief Executive, Chief Constable and Director of Forensic Services). These end of year reviews are a good opportunity to discuss the focus for the year ahead as well as look back at the learning gained.
Following conversations with all Board members, two key objectives have been agreed for all Board Members in the year ahead:
Maintaining a balanced budget for policing
Ensuring a sustainable police and forensic service
In order to meet these objectives we have discussed a focus for Board and Committee support and scrutiny on three specific areas:
Capacity
Capability
Culture
I will work with members in the weeks ahead to finalise the Board Objectives for 2023/24. We will publish these on the Authority’s website once they have been agreed.
