Our outcomes focused Performance Framework is linked to our strategic planning processes and aligns to the five Strategic Outcomes (Public Safety and Wellbeing; Needs of Local Communities; Confidence in Policing; Working Environment; Sustainable and Adaptable Service) as detailed in the 2024/25 Annual Police Plan.
The Police Scotland 2030 Vision provides the service with a clear, aspirational direction of travel to shape the development of Police Scotland. Our 2030 Vision is for safer communities, less crime, supported victims and a thriving workforce.
The report is structured under Less Crime, Safer Communities, Supported Victims and Thriving Workforce as per the Chief Constable’s Vision 2030 report. The first section of the report provides a deep dive performance focus on rape alongside a key insight on the increase in road fatalities.
Examples of good practice/proactivity/preventative policing activity has been highlighted in the following areas: Violence (Control Strategy); Stealthing (Landmark Trial); Retail Crime (4P Approach to Retail Crime); Cyber Criminality (Cyber Choices Scotland); Substance Harm Prevention (Promising Practices); County Lines (Intensification Week); Serious Organised Crime (Operation SILHOUETTE); and Road Safety (Road Policing Campaign Results).
