Background

In accordance with the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014, the Scottish Police Authority (SPA) is required to develop and review a Procurement Strategy which lays out how the organisation will carry out regulated procurement before the start of any financial year in which it will have expenditure exceeding £5m. The Standing Orders Relating to Contracts place the responsibility for preparing, publishing and reviewing the Procurement Strategy on the Head of Strategic Procurement in Standing Order 36.
