Summary
This report is intended to provide People Committee members with assurance that a structured approach to policy development is in place, and that we have an appropriate method for managing activity and ensuring it is aligned to the right priorities. Our review of policies and procedures since Sir Iain Livingstone’s statement to the Scottish Police Authority aims to achieve the best use of resources and inform appropriate decisions about which areas and programmes of work should be undertaken to address discriminatory practices while maintaining our duty to foster good relations between those who possess protected characteristics.
