Reporting wrongdoing (whistleblowing)
Police Scotland is committed to creating and supporting an open, transparent, and safe working environment where officers and members of staff feel able to speak up. All officers and staff are encouraged to report concerns they may have about potential wrongdoing at the earliest opportunity. A variety of options are available for individuals to make a report, including:
o Directly to their line manager;
o Directly to Professional Standards Department (PSD);
o Submitting the online ‘Whistleblowing’ Reporting Form;
o Via Police Scotland’s online confidential reporting mechanism;
o Via Crimestoppers; or
o Via the Police Anti-Corruption and Abuse Reporting Service.
