Conclusion

Overall, most of the pupils who responded appeared to view policing positively with little variation from Feb-March 2023. The most notable change was in relation to having ‘a general worry or problem outside of school’, with a higher proportion of pupils reporting in the Oct-Nov 2023 survey that 33% would not speak to the police (n=3) or being unsure of what to do (44%, n=4). However, it must be emphasised there was a limited response rate to the survey and overall it appears there was limited awareness of initiatives that had been implemented in Irvine Fullarton.
