Implications

Reputational Implications

There is a potential for adverse reputational implications in this report. Public confidence should be enhanced by the ICVS recording no OPCAT issues in the period, however some key concerns require to be addressed.

Equalities Implications

Independent custody visiting is a key element of community scrutiny of policing and ICVS consider its findings and confronts areas for improvement and the scheme ensures volunteers represent their local communities. Equality data is provided where appropriate and available.
