Financial Implications
There are considerable financial implications from on-going Estates works including Fire Safety actions. A significant number of actions have been identified from the Fire Risk Assessments and also from the on-going Custody Audits. It is essential that SPA/Police Scotland are provided with sufficient budget to allow them to operate safely and to comply with Health & Safety and Fire Safety legislation. The age of the Estate and the financial restrictions placed on the organisation mean that costs will only continue to rise.
