Forensic Service Excellence Awards
In September the chair of the Forensic Service Committee, along with members of SPA, key partners, the Forensic Services Senior Management Team and colleagues attended the Forensic Services Excellence Awards at Stirling University. HM Inspector of Constabulary in Scotland gave the keynote speech outlining the
important role forensic science had played throughout his extensive career across different areas of policing.
The awards celebrate and recognise the excellence and innovation that Forensic Services colleagues deliver to justice service partners for the people of Scotland. There were awards for people and teams across seven categories – and recognition for highly commended entries as well. In total, more than 70 people received certificates for an award or a high commendation.
