Fingerprints
From 1 September Forensic Services have been given access to enable control of the Scottish Fingerprint records on the UK-wide Indent1 system – a change that has been in discussion for five years. Previously we would have had to request changes to be completed - which inevitably led to inherent delays. This change allows Forensic Services to manage the weeding of fingerprint records in line with our legislation in Scotland.
