Budget
Forensic Services continue to be in line with forecast for the 2023/24 budget with a slight revenue underspend of £0.4 million for Q2 - due to recruitment taking longer to deliver than had been budgeted. Capital is also forecast to be underspent - by around £0.5m during the financial year - and any savings here will be used towards the overall SPA slippage management target.
We are now currently working across all areas of Forensic Services to seek further efficiency savings during this current year while looking at how the budget pressures will impact as we plan for the 2024/25 budget.
