Issued 6 March 2025, this FOI response advises that information on pension scheme contributions since 2013 is not held by the Scottish Police Authority. Your request for information dated 27 February 2025 is copied below.
1. For the financial years since 2013, how much money has been paid into the pension scheme on a monthly basis from employee and employer contributions and how much was paid out each month to retired members.
2. For the term from 2013 and each financial year to current, how much money in total has been paid into the scheme and how much money has been paid out.
3. Furthermore, how much money has the Scottish Government had to pay into the schemes to meet any shortfall in payments.
4. Lastly, is there any plan to invest contributions to prevent the taxpayer having to cover any shortfall in future and to provide better value and stability for members.
