The Scottish Police Authority has considered your request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act (FOISA).
The Authority does not hold the information requested. By means of explanation, the Authority provides governance and oversight of policing in Scotland. Operational policing matters, including the training and development of officers and staff to support investigations is a matter for Police Scotland.

However, to assist, we can point to the following inspection, oversight and assurance which is publicly available and relates to your request:
- HM Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland carried out a review of domestic abuse and published their report in 2023. The Authority’s Policing Performance Committee receive regular updates from Police Scotland on progress made against the recommendations in this report. The most recent update was provided in September 2024.
- The Policing Performance Committee also oversee the progress of Police Scotland’s Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy. The most recent progress update, in September 2024, mentions domestic abuse training.
- There is also relevant information in the Authority and Police Scotland’s Joint EDI Mainstreaming and Equality Outcomes Progress Report 2021-2023.
