The Scottish Police Authority has considered your request and does not hold the information requested.
By means of explanation, all productions requested for forensic analysis by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS), Police Scotland or the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner (PIRC) are allocated a reference number. There are no samples requiring forensic analysis without a reference number. To find out more about Forensic Services please visit the website.
Regarding your second request, Forensic Services holds no information and are not aware of any meeting taking place between Forensic Services and Mr Mitchell’s representatives.
To assist, please refer to Forensic Services Defence Access Policy that has been developed to ensure that defence agents and independent forensic science experts have consistent, fair and transparent access to productions and specific information held by the organisation.
