I would be grateful if you could please confirm whether the knife that was found in the skip at Home Farm, Midlothian, early July 2003, was ruled out as being connected to the murder of Jodi Jones. Police Scotland replied to my previous FOI to confirm that it was indeed recovered and sent for forensic examination (FOI 23-2781), but did this examination rule out any connection to the murder of Jodi Jones?
The reason for this request is that a lawyer previously involved in Luke Mitchell's case is publicly claiming that this knife was the real murder weapon.
