The activity outlined in the plan is aligned to budget prioritisation activity.

PERSONNEL IMPLICATIONS

Police Scotland’s journey to a new operating model will mean re-shaping and re-sizing the organisation. We are committed to supporting the wellbeing of staff and officers across our areas of responsibility.

LEGAL IMPLICATIONS

Section 35 of the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Act 2012 requires the Chief Constable to prepare an Annual Police Plan (APP) for each yearly period beginning on 1 April.

REPUTATIONAL IMPLICATIONS

Successful delivery of commitments within the APP and progress on overall service improvement will have reputational implications for Police Scotland.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Commitments and activity described in the APP are intended to improve outcomes for individuals and communities across Scotland.

We will continue to monitor the equalities impact of our APP commitments throughout the year.
