More information has been provided to officers and staff following the initial pay award communication of Monday 21 October 2024 announcing the headline offer of a 4.75% pay award.
The latest update provides more detailed information on the supporting elements of the offers made to trade unions and the staff side of the Police Negotiating Board for Scotland (PNBS).
Since the offers were made, trade unions began their pay ballot on 22 October and the staff side of the PNBS has submitted a revised claim, seeking a response from the official side by 28 October.
As part of the pay offer to trade unions, the Scottish Police Authority is prepared to re-open negotiations to ensure staff do not suffer any detriment to their police officer colleagues, should the outcome of their negotiations result in an agreement that is greater than 4.75%.
The update also provides clarity on the issue of time off in lieu (TOIL).
