Public views on Live Facial Recognition technology sought

A national conversation, inviting the views of the public on the use of LFR by policing in Scotland has begun.

Topic:

The Scottish Police Authority, Police Scotland and the Scottish Biometric Commissioner are seeking public opinion on the use of life facial recognition (LFR).

Members of the public are asked to complete an online survey on the potential use of the technology in Scotland.

This isn’t a consultation. It is an ongoing public conversation. We want to know what you think about the use of this technology.

Details on the conversation around the use of LFR can be found here.
