Statement from SPA Chair, Martyn Evans following the death of SPA Board member Bob Black.

"It was with great sadness that I learned today of the death of Bob Black, my friend and an SPA board member.

"Bob has been an outstanding public servant who has made a significant contribution to public life over a long and dedicated career. I was delighted when he agreed to join the Scottish Police Authority in April of this year. He made an instant impact as Chair of our Resources Committee.

His passing is a great loss, and he will be much missed. Our thoughts are with Bob's family at this sad time."
